WE'RE MOVING ON!!!!!!

So you know how I'm part of the FLL team the LEGO Lassies? You might not know about this, so check out these three posts for more information. This year's theme is Into Orbit, and the problem we chose to solve was that astronauts aren't getting enough sugar while they're in space. We decided to solve this problem by growing sugar beets on Mars.
This is a sugar beet
We've decided to assume that there's already a colony on Mars, and that the currently ongoing CO₂ Challenge, in which NASA has asked anyone with access to a lab to try to create oxygen out of carbon dioxide, has failed. So the solution to the lack of sugar in space is to grow sugar beets on the colony in Mars. Sugar beets produce twice as much sugar per pound as sugar cane does, as well as growing faster and using less water. Unlike sugar cane, sugar beets can be processed into sugar on a small scale, and don't require a huge factory. This means that sugar beets are very efficient and a good solution to this no-sugar-on-Mars problem. We also created this really awesome robot.
Our tournament was last Sunday on December 2nd. And guess what happened?
  We won!!
Well, we didn't win the Champion's Award like we did last season. But THIS season we did get two awards in one tournament as well as advance to the next tournament. We got the Robot Design and Robot Performance Awards, which is really awesome. The robot judges must have liked the way we designed our robot - it's actually pretty innovative and we use these cool gearboxes that easily attach onto the robot for our attachments. I also can't believe we got the HIGHEST SCORE IN THE ROBOT GAMES!!!!!!! I'm serious, it's insane!!!!!! Our highest score possible is 334, and we got.... DUN-DUH-DUN-DUN-DUUUUUUUUN!!!!! 332 POINTS!!!!! I should prooooooooooooooobably stop talking in all caps.... We got everything right!! Even Space Walk Emergency! In that mission, you have to get an astronaut model named Gerhard into this tiny little chamber, and it doesn't work very often, but this time, it worked. EVERY. MISSION. WE. DID. WORKED!! We only got the Observatory's handle into white, not orange, but white's all we're aiming for, and it only knocks off 2 points.
As you can see, I'm super happy about what we Lassies have done (team number 26070, or just Google us though I can't promise results) and I'm excited for the next tournament!!
